What is the Bowen Technique?
The Bowen Technique is extremely relaxing, involving gentle but purposeful moves over the muscle, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue to assist recovery and pain relief.
How does it work?
The Bowen Technique is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen’s unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body.
Who would it benefit?
Bowen is appropriate for everyone, from newborns to the very elderly and frail. For example, both highly trained athletes and pregnant women benefit equally, each according to need.
